I realized something simple and true: I’m happiest when I’m behind the camera, surrounded by people celebrating life’s most meaningful moments.

Evan did an incredible job photographing our daughter’s bat mitzvah. The photos are beautiful — great lighting, thoughtful composition, and he captured so many genuine moments throughout the day.
We have four kids, which usually makes family photos a challenge, but Evan handled it effortlessly and somehow got everyone smiling at the same time. He’s also clearly very experienced working in a synagogue setting — he respectfully handled the Torah, advocated for making sure we could photograph our daughter holding it, and made sure it was returned properly. Those photos are some of our favorites. And the turnaround was relatively quick, to boot!
Evan was calm, professional, and easy to work with, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We did a lot of research and we could not be happier with what we received. Not only would I enthusiastically recommend him to everyone I know, we plan on using him for the bar mitzahs of my younger kids.

Evan did an AMAZING job photographing our son’s Bar Mitzvah. From our initial Zoom consultation to quickly delivering a gallery of the most beautiful photos, he was such a pleasure to work with. Bar Mitzvah
Evan was amazing to work with for our daughter’s bat mitzvah! He was flexible when coordinating our meetings and photo shoots – which wasn’t easy being that all of our dates fell in the middle of the High Holidays. Most importantly, the photos are beautiful and her photo album is breathtaking! We look forward to when it’s our son’s bar mitzvah in a few years and we’ll get to work with Evan again!

Evan Guston Photography is a 5 out of 5 stars. Evan is so talented. From one artist to another, he has a true talent. He has vision for the art and you can see how he captures the image expression. He listens to his clients and gets to really understand what they want and connects to the family so they all feel special for that special moment. In our case, it was a Bar Mitzvah. But he went out of his way to capture the patriarch of our family on a separate occasion.
